Cashwise
BBC Cashwise aims to improve basic financial literacy. This CD-ROM, commissioned by the BBC and funded by the Learning Skills Council, is distributed as part of free workplace training campaigns. The primary aim: that users develop a more informed and active interest in their financial affairs.
At the centre of Cashwise is an interactive budget – users can build up a model of their incomings and outgoings. As they learn about pensions, tax and other topics they can experiment by adjusting their budget.
