As well as developing the content of open2.net, BBC WIL designed a CMS which supports:
- blogs
- forums
- podcasts
- video
The JSP (JavaServer Pages) based CMS allows live and scheduled content changes and robustly deals with traffic surges (up to 40K hits within a hour).
Open2.net is the online lifelong learning portal for the Open University. It provides programme support material for OU/BBC TV and radio programmes, as well as deeper learning materials and Open University course information.
