education in Ethiopia
DFID (Department For International Development) commissioned us to work with the Forum for Street Children Ethiopia (FSCE), developing an ICT education strategy. This plan was to be used in their network of drop-in and non-formal education centres.
Open Source software provided the solution. BBC WIL spent time with the management as well as the teachers, facilitators, and users in the centres. We developed an ICT section in the curriculum covering:
- literacy
- numeracy
- science
- geography
- sexual health
- citizenship
