The Mystery of the Lost Letters
The international charity, Dyslexia International Tools and Technologies (DITT), commissioned us to create a unique learning resource for young people with dyslexia.
BBC WIL worked with Moulinsart, the organisation entrusted with the commercial rights to Tintin, to produce an educational game. As learners solve ‘The Mystery of the Lost Letters’ they learn about their strengths and their personal learning style.
We used memorable characters and the unique graphical style of Tintin to engage users. To inspire them, we included video interviews of people with dyslexia, such as architect Lord Rogers and poet Benjamin Zephaniah. Our quizzes respond to their input, tailoring feedback to the user.
The CD-ROM is presented in a tri-lingual format. The entire experience is available to speakers of English, French and German.
